"Here is an update to my post BSG employment.
I worked as an inspector at Coler and Colantonio in Deerfield MA from March - August 2002 under Marty Kulig (former BSG'er). I worked on a regulator station project for Yankee Gas in CT then was assigned as a pipeline inspector on the 5 mile 20 inch gas pipeline project for MMWEC in Ludlow. This pipeline tied into the infamous 16" BSG "Palmer - Monson Pipeline that I also worked on back in 1992.
In August 2002 I accepted a supervisor position at Westfield Gas and Electric, as a Utility Foreman mainly working with the gas distribution crews. WG&E is a small municipal utility in Western Mass. I also am being cross trained to backup on the electric side of things as well as LNG plant duties among others.
It certainly is nice to work for a smaller company where everything is local and not this big corporation. Because it is smaller you get a taste of everything here. Tony Contrino another former Ludlow BSG'er/ EUSA works here also.
It has been very challenging these past few months with all the cold weather we have had trying to keep our system running smoothly. The severe frost is having a lot of fun with our CI piplines.
I still stay in touch with many of my former BSG colleagues. Hard to believe a year has gone by since my last day at BSG.
Remember to have fun in life everyone!!! Time certainly flies by."

"I will miss the BSG annual Hockey game we had here in Springfield that I ran. It started as a friendly pickup game among the Springfield employees back in the late 80's. We then moved up to playing prior to the Springfield Falcons Game at the Civic Center. We even had BSG jerseys (supplied by Rob Gladden)
I have some pictures that I should forward sometime to post on this website from a few of the games.
Not many of you may remember it but we had a few of the Westboro and Division people join in.
Steve Durrigan wouldn't miss it for anything. When he kicks the bucket someday, I think they'll have to bury him with his skates on, and of course a pint of Guiness.
Paul Lashoto played a few. We loved seeing his flowing hair hang out the sides of his helmet. He was so smooth!
We had also Fred McClennan and Bill Bergen here once or twice.
Paul Baker from Brockton, He was like a bowling ball out there!
Dick Munroe from Portsmouth. He was our AARP rep.
John McCloud from Brockton.
And some others I may have forgot.
And of course my fellow Spfld'ers who made up the majority of each team. I guess we might have enough now to field a BSG alumni team!

"Regarding where is Jim Burke,
I run into Jim Burke from time to time. Last I knew he was still living in Wilbraham Ma. He is enjoying retirement and doesn't miss the BS in BSGas. If I see him again I'll pass on this website to him.
I myself was eliminated on 12-31-01 by BSG spfld after 22 years. I was unemployed for 3 months and I am now working at Coler and Colantonio engineering firm in S. Deerfield Ma. as an inspector in their pipeling division.
I report to Marty Kulig my old boss at BS Gas (He left BS Gas in Feb of 2002) How about that!! Paul Lashoto told me of this website. I'll have to check it out some more. There are more and more of us Ex BSGers all the time!!!
See ya."
